How long have you been in business?
We were chartered by the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly the SPEBSQSA, Inc.) in 1980.
What is your primary product or service?
Preserving the Barbershop Harmony style of music. We are an all male chorus that rehearses every Monday night at the Jacqueline Casey Hudgens Center for the Arts at the Gwinnett Center. Guests are always welcome and our membership is always accepting auditions.
We are also available for higher for fundraisers or corporate or private performances. The Stone Mountain Chorus is available for any occasion, large or small. The chorus has a wide repertoire of songs - patriotic, holiday, gospel, and old favorites. You may want the whole chorus or just a smaller version depending on the event. We can put together a performance package to suit almost any need. Generally, performances last from 25 to 40 minutes and can be put together to suit your occasion. The Stone Mountain Chorus meets every Monday night, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the Hudgens Center for the Arts. The Hudgens Center is part of the Gwinnet Center complex located near the corner of Sugarloaf Parkway and Satellite Blvd. in Duluth, GA. The official address of the Gwinnett Center is 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, but that puts you on the opposite side of the complex. If you use a map address of 2100 Satellite Blvd., this should get you at the entrance nearest the Hudgens Center. Once you turn from Satellite Blvd into the Gwinnett Center, immediately turn left into the parking area and follow the double yellow line all the way around behind the buildings. When you get to the cross-arm security gate blocking the roadway, turn right into the area where we park. From the parking lot, enter the building through the double metal doors to the right.
Which areas do you service?
North Metro Atlanta, GA
All areas within Atlanta -- we have members as far away as Peachtree City (to the south) and Clarkesville (to the north).
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The Stone Mountain Chapter and Chorus is run by a Board of Directors made up by our very own members. We are governed by the by-laws of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
What are your hours of operation?
Mondays - 7:30pm - 10pm
